Dear Readers, I am thrilled to welcome you to the second issue of our PAFLAR newsletter.
The overwhelming response to our first issue has been incredibly encouraging, and I know
many of you have been eagerly awaiting this edition. Pediatric rheumatology is a field rich
with stories that need to be told— stories of resilience, innovation, and the relentless
pursuit of better outcomes for our young patients.

Volunteer Role: We are seeking passionate volunteers to join our team and
support our mission to enhance pediatric rheumatology healthcare across Africa.
Reports to: The Program officer Responsibilities: • Assist in organizing and
promoting educational workshops and conferences. • Assist in running projects •
Support with the organization of committees and subcommittees meetings • Support
advocacy and awareness campaigns. • Aid in research projects and data collection.
• Engage with patient support activities. • Assist in responding to members queries.
• Assist in writing reports and minutes • Perform all other duties as assigned Requirements:
• Strong commitment to child healthcare. • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Previous experience in healthcare or
